Internship Day – 1

I reached Divyang Info World at 10:00am. Electricity was fluctuating and finally it got set at around 1:00pm. First we came and sat at Tata Sky Experience Zone. Then we had prayers at 10:10am. After prayers we had to register our time and sign it in the register of attendance. We even got out cards for trainee. Afterwards we were divided into groups of two. There were totally 9 people so one group was of four and other of five. The total members were Ajay, Jheel, Tanmay, Vishwam, Alakh, Manan, Vihan, Rahul and I. The first group was of Vishwam, Alakh, Vihan and Manan and our group was of the remaining of us. Our group first went to the Service Station for computers and Laptops. Here we learnt about the six major components of a system, its basic functions and where to fix what. Till around 1:00pm we were in the service station grasping how much ever we could. In between we even had lots of fun. We ourselves had assembled the desktops. In this process we came across many flaws and successes. It was simply ‘The Great’ learning experience! Service station was amongst the most interesting part of the day. Then afterwards we went on the Tata Sky Experience Zone, where we were explained about the benefits if Tata and Tata Sky plus, which we then had to explain to the customers. We even learnt how to recharge an existing Tata Sky account from its website http://www.butsmart.com/. It was pretty easy, just we need to take great about the id number of the customer if entered wrong the recharge would take place in some other’s account. The wrong account recharge can be cancelled but it is a tedious process. Thereafter we sat in the Tata Sky demo room and gave each other demos. We had lunch at 2:00pm till 3:00pm. We had lunch. Then we were explained about the consumables, other hardware and accessories. We were also introduced to its uses, the benefits and its price. All these information will be useful while actually informing the customer about the various products. We also learnt how to fill on checks and its do’s and don not’s. We were giving back the same after filling in the information needed. Finally the official day got over at 6:0pm! I didn’t realize how the time passed because of the tight schedule! The day was enriched with learning and lots of fun. Who says work is burden/load?
